6 HDR Photos of Bucolic Mountain House,

Mountain House is a new community, a group of communities locally known as villages, designed and built from the ground up to give people who live here a sense of family and community as you won't feel in many other places around the country. Life some days seems to slow down to a stand still, presenting us photographers excellent bucolic scenes that should not be missed.

5 Tips on How to Photograph Your Pet (12

Debora and I like to take Hope for walks in the evening when it's colder and her frolicking and chasing rabbits doesn't bring her down to her knees in a matter of minutes. If we walk for 45 minutes and the weather cooperates then she'll be able to accompany us for the duration of the walk. On the other hand if it's a warm day then we'll have to stop at the park and wait until she cools off before going back to action.

8 Tips on Photographing Fireworks, Half

The fireworks show in Half Moon Bay started at 9:30pm on the south end of Pillar Point Harbor. There's a small strip of sand the city cordoned off so the fireworks could be setup and shot right above the harbor and in front of where people were congregating by the coastal trail. Because in previous years fires had to be put out the city decided to close the coastal trail for the duration of the show and those lucky to reach the end of the trail where they put the temporary barrier found themselves a perfect spot to watch the fireworks.

10 Tips for Stress Free Hope, the Patrio

The 4th of July is a day to celebrate the Independence of the United States of America from England but over the years this celebration of freedom has evolved to represent freedom for families who have fought for rights in their countries of origin and came to the US to help their families back at home and to provide a better quality of life to their families here in the US. Hope is part of our family and we know when she's happy by going with us to places where she can spread her "wings", meet other furry friends and other humans.

29 Photos 4th Of July Independence Day i

We had a great plan for the 4th Of July Independence Day this year. We were leaving early in the morning to go to Monterey and watch the fireworks there at night while walking around town with Hope during the day by the piers and on the walkways from Monterey to Pacific Grove to Lover's Point and back in time for the fireworks show. Our plan was solid, we researched the times the show would start, where it would start, costs of parking and places where they allow dogs to go. Little did we know how greatly our plan would change multiple times in a matter of hours.

9 Photos Goodbye Morro Bay, The Trip Hom

The weekend trip to Morro was over. Now all we had to do was drive 4hrs back o Mountain House, back to reality, back to "the grind". But before that we checked out early, stopped by the local coffee shop, and last minute shopping. Morro Bay was our destination but the trip to get there was nowhere less amazing and scenic and I guarantee you that the beauty of travelling on the scenic Pacific Highway is not the destination but the many stops along the road and the experiences you share with the people travelling with you.

15 Photos of Sunset at Morro Bay, Pacifi

We witnessed the sunset on Cabrillo Highway, Cayucos, and since this was our third and last day in Morro Bay after a extenuating day on the beach walking back and forth on sand and exploring all Morro Bay and Morro Rock have to offer we were tired to say the least. We found a place to sit on one of the many logs washed ashore by winter storms, and waited for the sun to set one last time in this fantastic weekend trip on California's scenic Pacific Highway 1.

29 Photos of Morro Bay Endpoint for Cabr

After driving for two days straight and stopping at least ten times to enjoy the vista points along the famous and scenic Cabrillo Highway, we arrived at Morro Bay on Sunday late evening. We were hoping to see the sunset in Morro Bay but as you might recall we stayed longer than expected in Bixby Bridge and the day was over (photographically speaking) after the sunset in Cayucos.

8 Amazing Photos of Point Cabrillo Light

Whenever we go to Mendocino we like to explore the area and this time around we decided to go to Point Cabrillo's Lighthouse.

For people staying at the Point Cabrillo's Bed & Breakfast you can drive to the B&B which is a few yards away from the lighthouse. Most people opt for taking the 2miles round-trip from the ranger station at the entrance of the park to the lighthouse.

14 Photos Sunset In Cayucos. Weekend Tri

By the time we left San Simeon it was already very late and I guess it's true what they say that "time goes faster when you're having fun." Cayucos is a small beautiful coastal town with high-priced homes and slow-paced living evocative of better days. Since we arrived late I wasn't able to walk around town and photograph the town itself so we walked to the beach to watch the sunset.

17 Photos of San Simeon Hearst Park On O

After a great night sleep at Lucia's Lodge we headed to San Simeon, our next stop on the way to Morro Bay. San Simeon is of course the home of the famous tourist attraction Hearst Castle. A little known fact is that Mr Hearst also developed the beach and created a recreation area to invite his guests to enjoy strolls on the beach, anchor their yachts on the bay, and when tired retire to their rooms at the Hearst estate high up on the hills now known as the Hearst Castle.

13 Photos of Lucia Lodge. Weekend trip t

Once the sun set we quickly had to find a place to stay overnight because I have to be frank, driving on California's HW-1 at night is not a pleasant experience. The highway is one of the most scenic highways in the United States but it hugs the coastline mercilessly offering a very stressful drive, yet choc full of scenic vista points that help minimize the effects of a winding road with several dozen curves. Does Hana ring a bell, anyone?

14 Photos Sunset On Cabrillo Highway. We

After spending more than one hour to see a cow giving birth on our way to Bixby Bridge the short drive to Morro Bay on Cabrillo Highway didn't seem so short anymore. In fact by the time we left Bixby Bridge and passed by Big Sur the sun was already threatening to disappear in the far distant horizon. So, we had a choice, either we continue to zip through the beautiful scenic views until we reach Morro Bay or... we find a nice cozy place to stay the night and the next day we can take off, drive slowly enjoying the views and reach Morro Bay whenever we get there. Not too much of a choice really and the more we thought about it and the longer we waited the faster the sun was signing off for the day.
